One of the more popular products for the last few years released last week, as the new 2023 Topps Archives Signature Series Retired Player Edition hit the shelves at Sports Card Market.
In each hobby box you’ll find on average:
- 1 Encased Buy-Back Autograph
Each box comes with 1 sealed card that is hand signed by every player. These cards were originally in products from various years but all came as based cards that were not autographed. Now they’ve all been numbered and all have been autographed by each player.
This specific version only has retired players in the product. But with a loaded checklist, this product is sure to be a fan favorite for a while. You could pull autographs of players like Albert Pujols, Hank Aaron, Cal Ripken Jr, and so many more.
I’ve ripped a ton of this product in the past couple of years and I’ve loved it. We used this products in our breaks and sold a ton of these boxes last year. So we had to open a box of the new product to see what kind of card we would pull.
With these boxes it is only one card, so this will be short and sweet. Our autograph was a journeyman and fan favorite player, Bartolo Colon numbered to only 46 copies.
While we probably didn’t make money off of this box, it was still a fun rip. I’ll probably end up adding Bartolo to my personal collection as he’s one of the few pitchers that I enjoyed watching growing up.
